La Grange, TX - St. Mark's Medical Center (SMMC) recognizes the efforts of their environmental services (EVS) team as part of the recent National Environmental Services Week. Extraordinary dedication and teamwork are required to care for the complex healthcare environment, ensuring pathogen free, healing conditions are maintained across all care settings.
"We depend on and appreciate the critical role that our EVS professionals play in our facility," said Mark Kimball, President and CEO of SMMC. "And during what continues to be a challenging time in the healthcare industry, these unsung heroes are both on the front lines and behind the scenes keeping our facility clean and safe for all who work, visit, and are cared for at St. Mark's. They are a key component in infection prevention, including mitigating the spread of COVID-19."
The EVS team at SMMC routinely receives updated product and procedural training to ensure ongoing sanitary conditions are effectively maintained.
