St. Mark's Medical Center Appoints Jared Brown as Chief Financial Officer

La Grange, TX - St. Mark's Medical Center (SMMC) announces the appointment of Jared Brown, MBA, to his new role as the facility's Chief Financial Officer.

Brown joined SMMC in 2019 as the hospital's Controller, and was recognized for identifying various revenue growth opportunities through detailed audits and analyses, including throughout the complex external funding channels supporting COVID-19 expenses. In his new role, Brown is responsible for managing all of SMMC's finance-related matters, including executing the hospital's financial strategy, developing plans for growth, identifying opportunities; and managing all accounting procedures.

"Jared's deep healthcare financial experience and familiarity with our facility, team and community, position him to lead and continue driving the strong financial performance we need in this challenging environment."

Brown's nearly two decades of progressive financial positions in Southwestern US medical facilities include acute care rural and metropolitan hospitals, and other healthcare-related organizations. He holds an MBA in Finance and a BS in Accounting, both from the University of North Texas, in Denton, Texas.

Raised in rural East Texas, Brown is married to Heidy, and has a 20-year-old son and a 3-year-old daughter. When not working, he enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, and hiking; he also reads and collects vinyls in his spare time.
